Accountant

About the Role

Chemmanur Jewellers is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and inventory-related accounting activities. Candidates from Jewellery Retail, Retail, Manufacturing, FMCG, Trading, or similar industries are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Manage inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and tax consultants.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Prepare MIS reports and management reports.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
• Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting software.
• Knowledge of audit processes and taxation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter preferred.
• 4–10 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in Jewellery Retail, Retail, Manufacturing, FMCG, Trading, or similar industries will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience handling branch accounts and inventory-intensive businesses.
• Strong knowledge of GST filings, reconciliations, and taxation.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
