Urgent Hiring - Business Analyst - Pharma Industry - Mumbai Bandra, Bkc

Main Purpose of Role:

This Business Analyst role is designed for a candidate with experience in Salesforce, .NET/Java based application, SQL reporting and software product development with a focus on product support and business analysis. The candidate will assist in maintenance tasks to support multiple global systems applications for the service user community. The role will assist with various project related tasks and needs good organizational and presentation skills. The position offers strong learning opportunities and exposure to enterprise data and reporting standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Data Insights

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into clear visual insights
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional/technical specifications
• Use SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data, support business decisions, audits, and issue resolution
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and opportunities through data analysis

Data Operations, Issue Resolution & Customer Support

• Investigate data discrepancies and system issues, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions
• Provide customer and end-user support, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, QA, compliance, business users) to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities
• Document report logic, data definitions, and data sources following Abbott documentation standards

Validation & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies
• Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and traceability matrices documenting system reliability and audit readiness to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Perform impact assessments and risk analysis for system changes, ensuring controlled and compliant implementations
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including SOPs, validation reports, user requirements, and audit artifacts
• Support regulatory audits and inspections by providing evidence, data analysis, and documentation demonstrating compliance

Experience

Validation & Regulatory Compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Life Sciences, Business, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, pharma, medical devices)
• Strong understanding of validation frameworks
• Experience preparing audit-ready documentation and supporting regulatory inspections

Business Analysis & Data Insights

• Proven experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering and documentation
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to derive insights from complex datasets

Data Operations, Issue Resolution & Customer Support

• Experience in troubleshooting data/system issues and performing root cause analysis
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Customer-focused mindset with experience in end-user support and issue resolution

Minimum Qualifications

• S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field is required. 
• Exposure to SDLC, change management, and testing methodologies
• Basic understanding of business analysis concepts such as requirements gathering and process mapping
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. 
• Willingness to learn new tools, data sources, and business processes
• Familiarity with modern software architecture and design patterns.
