Chemist / Officer - Quality Control
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and packing materials as per approved specifications.
Conduct routine chemical testing and maintain accurate laboratory records.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as GC, HPLC, UV Spectrophotometer, Karl Fischer, pH Meter, and other analytical equipment.
Prepare and standardize chemical reagents, solutions, and volumetric preparations.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, GLP, ISO, and quality management systems.
Maintain laboratory documentation, test reports, certificates of analysis (COA), and logbooks.
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with Production, R&D, and QA departments regarding quality-related issues.
Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure laboratory safety, housekeeping, and proper handling of chemicals.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of wet chemistry and instrumental analysis.
Hands-on experience with GC, HPLC, UV, KF, and other analytical instruments.
Understanding of quality systems, ISO standards, and laboratory practices.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory data management.
