Sr. Engineer – Tendering & Proposal
Job Description:
Position: Engineer / Sr. Engineer – Tendering, Approvals, Registrations & Market Intelligence (Substations & Transmission Lines)
Industry: EPC
Location: Gujarat (covering Gujarat, Maharashtra & Rajasthan)
Experience: 2–10 Years
Industry Preference:
Power Infrastructure, Transmission & Distribution, Substations, Electrical EPC, Renewable Energy, Utility Projects
Role Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating tender opportunities, managing vendor registrations and approvals, supporting costing and estimation activities, tracking upcoming projects, and generating market intelligence for Transmission Line, Substation, Power Distribution, and Electrical Infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tender sourcing, analysis, and bid opportunity evaluation
• Review of technical and commercial tender requirements
• Cost estimation, bid pricing support, and competitor benchmarking
• Vendor registrations, approvals, certifications, and empanelments
• Tracking upcoming projects, utility expansion plans, and market opportunities
• Maintaining tender calendars, bid trackers, and documentation records
• Coordinating with internal teams for bid preparation and submission
• Supporting strategic business development initiatives
Required Experience:
• Tendering and bidding activities
• Costing and estimation
• Transmission Line and Substation projects
• Electrical EPC or Power Infrastructure sector
• Government, PSU, Utility, or Private Sector tenders
Qualification:
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Diploma holders with relevant industry experience may also be considered
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of tendering processes and bidding portals
• Understanding of transmission and substation projects
• Cost estimation and bid analysis
• Government procurement procedures
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Preferred Exposure:
• State Utilities, DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, Power Grid projects, and EPC contractors
• Vendor registrations and approval processes
• GEM, CPP Portal, State Tender Portals, and utility procurement systems
Other Requirements:
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
• Willingness to travel across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan as required
