Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environment, Health, and Safety initiatives across manufacturing and operational facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, developing and implementing EHS programs, conducting audits and risk assessments, and driving a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.

This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage regulatory compliance, employee safety programs, environmental initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, workplace assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and conduct EHS training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Monitor EHS performance indicators and prepare reports for management review.
  • Manage environmental sustainability initiatives including waste management, pollution prevention, resource conservation, and energy optimization.
  • Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory agencies for inspections, audits, permits, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain EHS documentation, records, licenses, and statutory reports.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, mock drills, and crisis management activities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR, and Administration teams to ensure safe operations.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, environmental management systems, and occupational health and safety management systems.

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in EHS management within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, nutraceutical, or process industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety regulations, statutory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, hazard identification, and workplace inspections.
  • Proven experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Knowledge of environmental management systems, waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience in handling regulatory inspections, permits, compliance documentation, and liaison with government authorities.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Occupational Health & Safety standards, and EHS management systems.
  • Ability to design and conduct safety training, awareness programs, mock drills, and emergency response activities.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate employees on EHS matters.
  • Experience in preparing EHS reports, compliance documentation, safety metrics, and management reviews.
  • Proficiency in safety management systems, incident reporting, and risk management tools.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of working independently and driving a strong safety culture.
