Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Equity Dealer to execute equity and related market transactions for mutual fund schemes in line with investment strategies, regulatory guidelines, and internal risk policies. The candidate should possess strong market understanding, dealing expertise, and coordination skills with fund managers, brokers, custodians, and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute equity buy/sell orders for mutual fund portfolios.
- Ensure timely and accurate trade execution in line with fund manager instructions.
- Monitor market movements, liquidity, pricing, and trading volumes.
- Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and back-office teams for smooth settlement.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI, exchange regulations, and internal investment guidelines.
- Track order confirmations, trade matching, and settlement obligations.
- Maintain dealer logs, transaction records, and audit documentation.
- Monitor corporate actions, block deals, bulk deals, and market news.
- Support fund managers with market inputs, execution strategies, and stock liquidity analysis.
- Handle trade allocation across schemes as per compliance norms.
- Ensure minimal execution cost and best market practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of equity markets and trading mechanisms.
- Knowledge of mutual fund operations and portfolio dealing.
- Familiarity with NSE/BSE trading platforms.
- Understanding of settlement cycles, risk management, and compliance.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced market environments.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
Technical Skills
- Experience with trading terminals such as NSE NOW, ODIN, Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.
- Knowledge of Excel and reporting tools.
- Understanding of OMS/RMS systems.
Qualification
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
- NISM Certification (Equity Derivatives/Mutual Fund/Research Analyst preferred).
