Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY

The Store Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, and consumables at the company's store facility. This role ensures accurate inventory records, timely availability of materials for production, compliance with storage standards, and efficient coordination with procurement and production teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of inward and outward movement of materials in ERP/software.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and physical verification of inventory.
  • Implement FIFO/LIFO systems and ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Manage reorder points, generate indent requests, and raise purchase requisitions.

Store Operations

  • Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of all materials as per requisition.
  • Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and coding of all stored items.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store layout following 5S standards.
  • Manage disposal of scrap and non-moving or obsolete inventory.

Team & Coordination

  • Lead, train, and manage a team of store assistants and helpers.
  • Coordinate with the Production, Purchase, Quality, and Accounts departments.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers at the time of material delivery and inspection.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly store MIS reports for management review.
  • Ensure GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), material returns, and rejection notes are accurately documented.
  • Comply with GST, e-way bill, and other statutory documentation requirements for goods movement.
  • Support internal and external audits with timely data and records.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and ERP systems (Tally / SAP / custom ERP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for MIS reports, stock tracking, and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of machine parts, raw materials, and industrial components preferred.
  • Good command of Gujarati, Hindi, and English (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with GST documentation, GRN processes, and purchase cycles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Com / B.Sc / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Additional certification in Inventory Management or ERP is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a store/warehouse role in a manufacturing company.
