Sr. Accounts Manager
Job Description:
Role Purpose
The Accounting Manager ensures accurate, timely, and predictable accounting delivery for clients by leading a team, reviewing outputs, managing risk, and serving as the primary accounting point of contact.
This role exists to ensure:
● Monthly books are closed correctly and on time
● Clients trust us as their accounting partner
● The team delivers review-ready, high-quality work
● Accounting risks are proactively controlled
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting Delivery
● Own end-to-end monthly book closure for assigned clients
● Ensure accurate reconciliations and compliance with accounting standards
● Deliver review-ready financial statements and reports
● Maintain predictable timelines and zero last-minute surprises
Client Relationship Management
● Act as primary accounting POC for clients
● Manage expectations, timelines, and scope boundaries
● Proactively communicate risks, delays, or issues
● Build trust through consistency and clarity
Team Leadership & Review
● Allocate work based on team capacity and skill level
● Conduct structured review of accounting outputs before client delivery
● Provide coaching, feedback, and performance inputs
● Ensure the team meets delivery timelines and quality standards
MIS & Reporting
● Ensure accurate preparation and review of MIS and financial reports
● Validate variance analysis and prior-period comparisons
● Confirm completeness before submission to Partner/VCFO
Audit & Compliance Support
● Coordinate statutory and internal audits
● Ensure readiness of working papers and reconciliations
● Prevent audit qualifications due to accounting gaps
New Client Onboarding
● Oversee accounting onboarding process
● Review opening balances and historical data
● Ensure smooth transition into steady monthly delivery
What Success Looks Like
● Books are closed on time without escalations
● Clients experience predictable, stress-free accounting
● Audit issues are minimal or zero
● Team delivers review-ready outputs consistently
Candidate Profile
Experience: 5–6 years in accounting, preferably in a CA firm / outsourcing / multi-client environment
Qualification: Semi-qualified CA / MCOM / Equivalent
Technical Skills:
● Strong knowledge of accounting standards
● Experience in financial reporting & MIS
● Audit coordination exposure

🎓 Desired Candidate Profile
● Semi Qualified CA / MBA (top College) with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Managing Accounting Clients.
● Strong working knowledge of Tally / Excel / PPT.
● Excellent understanding of Accounting standards, Taxes, MIS, Cashflows and Business Finance.
● Good written and verbal communication skills.
● Self-disciplined, reliable, and capable of working independently.
