Job Description:

 

We are looking for a results-driven and proactive Area Sales Manager to spearhead our mining segment growth in Chhattisgarh. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for driving the sales and market penetration of our Hydraulic Breakers. The ideal candidate will have strong local market knowledge, a solid understanding of mining operations, and at least 3 years of experience selling equipment within the mining or heavy construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Sales Growth: Drive end-to-end sales for Hydraulic Breakers across Chhattisgarh, ensuring territory sales targets and revenue goals are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Customer Acquisition & Retention: Identify, pitch to, and onboard new clients, including mining contractors, quarry owners, aggregate producers, and cement plants. Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.

  • Dealership & Channel Management: Coordinate with local dealers and distributors (where applicable) to optimize market reach and ensure smooth product availability.

  • Market Mapping: Conduct regular field visits to key mining hubs in Chhattisgarh (such as Korba, Raigarh, Bilaspur, etc.) to track active projects, competitor pricing, and market demand.

  • After-Sales Coordination: Work alongside the technical service team to ensure prompt installation, commissioning, and after-sales service support, minimizing equipment downtime for the client.

  • Collections & Commercials: Manage commercial negotiations, ensure timely payment collections, and handle documentation required for corporate or institutional sales.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Criteria Requirement
Experience Minimum 3 years of active sales experience in Mining Equipment or Heavy Construction Machinery.
Product Focus Direct experience or a strong technical understanding of Hydraulic Breakers and attachments is highly preferred.
Geographic Knowledge Deep familiarity with the Chhattisgarh mining geography, key players, and local industry dynamics.
Education Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mining, or Automobile Engineering. A graduate with a strong technical sales background will also be considered.
Travel Highly open to extensive travel across the state for client meetings and site visits.

Key Competencies & Skills

  • Direct B2B Sales: Proven capability in on-site selling, product demonstrations, and technical pitching to site managers and purchase heads.

  • Relationship Building: Ability to connect easily with site operators up to senior purchase managers.

  • Negotiation & Closing: Strong commercial acumen to handle pricing objections and close deals in a competitive market.

  • Self-Driven: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing a vast geographic territory.
