SR. FITTER MAINTENANCE FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Installation & Assembly: Assemble, align, and install heavy mechanical equipment and structural components based on complex blueprints and technical schematics. [1, 2]
- Maintenance & Repair: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and perform emergency repairs during equipment breakdowns. [1, 2, 3]
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical faults, including issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and transmission systems. [1, 2]
- Leadership & Coordination: Supervise junior fitters and helpers, delegate daily maintenance tasks, and coordinate with the production team to ensure operational efficiency. [1, 2]
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict industrial safety protocols, properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure a hazard-free work environment. [1, 2]
- Education: Typically requires an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Fitter or Mechanical trades, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. [1, 2, 3]
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in heavy industrial maintenance, ideally within a steel manufacturing, rolling mill, or heavy fabrication setting. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in blueprint reading, precision measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers), and equipment alignment techniques. [1, 2, 3]
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, physical stamina for high-temperature work environments, and leadership abilities
