Business Analyst – Lending Technologies

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst with strong experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to support technology initiatives across our lending business.

The role involves working closely with Business, Risk, Product, and Engineering teams to translate business needs into clear and actionable technical specifications.

You will initially contribute to projects such as onboarding decisioning systems, rule engines, and workflow platforms, but the role will extend to broader product and process enhancements within the lending technology stack.


Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Partner with Business, Risk, Product, and Operations teams to understand lending workflows, credit policies, system needs, and process gaps.
  • Translate business requirements into structured BRDs, PRDs, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Conduct impact analysis and ensure clarity, completeness, and traceability of requirements.

Documentation & Functional Design

  • Draft detailed documentation for feature requests, system changes, integrations, and rule configurations.
  • Work with Engineering teams to convert functional requirements into technical specifications.
  • Maintain and update documentation as features evolve and are deployed.

Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external technology vendors on project timelines, deliverables, and action items.
  • Track progress of ongoing initiatives, dependencies, and risks.
  • Conduct project reviews and maintain project trackers, status reports, and issue logs.
  • Ensure timely completion across design, development, testing, and go-live phases.

Testing & UAT Support

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), review outputs, identify discrepancies, and coordinate fixes with Engineering teams and technology vendors.
  • Validate end-to-end business flows before release to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Solid understanding of system workflows, business processes, and logical rule structures.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong expertise in writing BRDs, PRDs, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working with Engineering teams and understanding technical constraints.

Preferred Background

  • 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in FinTech, Lending, Banking, or SaaS/Enterprise systems.
  • Exposure to lending systems such as Loan Origination Systems (LOS), underwriting workflows, or Business Rules Engines (BRE).
  • Experience collaborating with technology vendors and integration teams.
  • Understanding of credit policies, lending decision flows, or rule-based systems will be an added advantage.
