Job Description:

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for managing mechanical maintenance, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, installation, inspection, and improvement activities in the plant. The candidate will ensure smooth and safe operation of mechanical equipment while minimizing breakdowns and production losses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Handle breakdown maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical failures.
• Inspect machinery, equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and other mechanical systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential faults.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for timely maintenance activities.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, checklists, and technical reports.
• Supervise mechanical repair, installation, alignment, and commissioning work.
• Ensure proper lubrication and inspection of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, spare parts, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and vendors for maintenance and repair work.
• Assist in equipment modification and process improvement projects.
• Ensure availability and proper utilization of mechanical spare parts.
• Follow plant safety procedures, SOPs, and maintenance standards.
• Support root-cause analysis of repeated equipment failures.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and within the planned timeline.

Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may be considered for suitable experience.
• Experience in plant maintenance, manufacturing, steel, power, or industrial operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment and maintenance practices is required.
