Job Summary
The Head of Procurement will design, execute, and govern the end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement vision for our healthcare operations. This leadership role ensures the continuous, cost-effective, and legally compliant availability of all critical medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and indirect services. The ideal candidate balances business negotiation with deep clinical and regulatory understanding to safeguard patient safety and optimize corporate expenditures.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Financial Leadership
• Formulate long-term procurement roadmaps and category management strategies aligned with corporate healthcare goals.
• Drive aggressive cost-optimization initiatives, volume pooling, and SKU rationalisation across multiple units.
• Lead high-stakes negotiations for enterprise-level contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Collaborate with executive leadership to manage annual capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) budgets.

Supplier, Risk, & Quality Management
• Vet and build a resilient network of suppliers for pharmaceuticals, medical tools, and hospital assets alongwith other range of products.
• Establish rigorous supplier performance dashboards to track delivery timelines, quality compliance, and financial stability.
• Mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities by forecasting shortages and setting backup sourcing policies for life-saving items.
• Conduct supplier audits alongside quality assurance teams to monitor adherence to clinical manufacturing standards.

Education & Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Pharmacy
• Master’s degree / MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management is highly preferred.

Experience & Skills
• 12+ years of procurement experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an executive leadership role inside a healthcare company or hospital chain.
• Deep industry domain expertise in sourcing medical consumables, cold-chain pharmaceuticals, and complex radiology/surgical machinery.
