Job Description:

The Credit Control Executive is responsible for monitoring customer receivables, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, minimizing credit risk, maintaining healthy cash flow, and supporting customer account management. The role requires strong follow-up skills, analytical ability, customer communication, and coordination with Sales, Accounts, Projects, and Management teams.

Credit Management

  • Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness based on payment history and business profile.
  • Recommend credit limits and credit hold actions where necessary.
  • Track customer ageing and identify high-risk accounts.

Receivables & Collection Management

  • Monitor customer outstanding balances and due dates.
  • Follow up with customers through calls, emails, and meetings for timely payments.
  • Ensure collection of advances, milestone payments, retention amounts, and overdue invoices.
  • Maintain collection records and follow-up logs.

Customer Account Reconciliation

  • Coordinate with customers for account reconciliation.
  • Resolve disputes related to invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and payment adjustments.
  • Work closely with Sales, Projects, and Accounts teams to resolve collection issues.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare ageing reports, collection forecasts, and overdue analysis reports.
  • Generate weekly and monthly MIS reports.
  • Highlight high-risk accounts and delayed payments to management.

Process Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures.
  • Maintain complete documentation related to collections and customer correspondence.
  • Support internal audits and statutory audit requirements related to receivables.

Coordination & Customer Relationship

  • Coordinate with Sales teams to support collection activities.
  • Maintain professional customer relationships while ensuring payment discipline.
  • Escalate unresolved collection issues appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • MBA Finance will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Collection Management, or Finance Operations.
