Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to manage the Finance & Accounts function of our manufacturing unit at Siltara. The candidate will be responsible for financial accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, banking, audits, MIS reporting, vendor management, and financial control activities while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Review and verify accounting entries, vouchers, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
- Finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely closure of books of accounts.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management.
Taxation & Compliance
- Manage GST compliance including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GST reconciliations, and annual returns.
- Handle TDS/TCS deductions, returns, reconciliations, and statutory payments.
- Prepare and review Income Tax, Advance Tax, and related filings.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and government authorities for assessments and notices.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act and other statutory requirements.
Audit & Financial Controls
- Coordinate Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, and Cost Audit.
- Implement and strengthen internal financial controls and processes.
- Ensure audit readiness and timely submission of required information.
- Maintain compliance documentation and records.
Banking & Working Capital
- Handle banking operations, loan documentation, CC/OD accounts, and fund management.
- Manage vendor payments, receivables, and working capital requirements.
- Liaise with banks for financing, guarantees, and other banking matters.
- Monitor daily cash position and fund utilization.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Monitor inventory accounting and stock reconciliations.
- Analyze production costs and support cost optimization initiatives.
- Verify stock statements and inventory records.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Vendor & Management Reporting
- Review vendor outstanding reports and payment schedules.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and production departments.
- Prepare fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
- Support senior management in financial planning and decision-making.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 3–8 years of experience in Manufacturing / Steel / Sponge Iron / Mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Financial Reporting, and Audits.
- Hands-on experience in Tally ERP / SAP / ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to independently handle finance and compliance functions.
