Location: Andheri, Mumbai. 

Working Day: 5 days 

Timing: 8 to 5 P.M.

THE POSITION:

• We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in pharmaceutical sciences to join the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) group. on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates aspiring to build a career in the pharmaceutical industry with exposure to pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, and translational research supporting the design and development of innovative therapies.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct comprehensive research of internal reports, scientific literature, databases, and regulatory documents relevant to formulation development, dosage forms, dissolution, biorelevant media, and drug disposition (ADME), pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), pharmacology, and toxicology/toxicokinetics.
• Extract, curate, and critically evaluate data from tables, figures, and published sources; organize datasets into standardized formats suitable for PBPK and PK–PD modeling workflows.
• Apply fundamental pharmacokinetic and biopharmaceutics principles to support modeling and simulation activities, including GastroPlus-based simulations and virtual bioequivalence assessments.
• Contribute to the development, review, and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process guidelines; maintain accurate, traceable, SOP-compliant documentation.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and editing of high-quality scientific and medical documents, including regulatory justifications, manuscripts, and technical reports; support document publishing (formatting, bookmarking, hyperlinking).
• Coordinate with contract research organizations (CROs) for study planning, execution, and logistics; support review and quality assessment of study reports.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional (matrix) teams to gather and verify data; use tools such as MS Excel and data analysis/visualization software to manage, analyze, and present scientific data.
• Demonstrate continuous learning by staying updated with evolving scientific literature, tools, and regulatory expectations in the DMPK domain.
• Perform other activities as assigned to support project and departmental objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Postgraduate degree (M.Pharm) with 0–3 years of relevant experience (including academic research, internships, or industrial exposure).
• Strong foundational knowledge of pharmacokinetics, ADME principles, and biopharmaceutics.
• Proven ability to conduct scientific literature searches, extract relevant data, and perform structured data analysis with attention to detail and scientific accuracy.
• Hands-on experience or exposure to GastroPlus and/or Phoenix WinNonlin software is desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
• Excellent scientific writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to develop clear, concise, and high-quality, well-structured technical content based on research findings.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision within a small, collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and scientific concepts relevant to DMPK and modeling & simulation.
