About the Role

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts, providing technical sales support, conducting customer visits, and achieving sales targets across the assigned territory.

The role combines technical expertise with business development and requires regular interaction with manufacturing companies, engineering firms, fabrication industries, EPC contractors, OEMs, and industrial customers.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, service, operations, and logistics teams to ensure successful execution of customer orders while delivering exceptional customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Generate qualified sales leads through field visits, networking, referrals, and digital platforms.
  • Build relationships with manufacturing industries, OEMs, fabrication companies, EPC contractors, and industrial customers.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Expand the company's customer base across multiple industrial sectors.
  • Prepare business development plans to maximize revenue.

Technical Sales & Customer Support

  • Visit customer sites to understand technical requirements.
  • Recommend suitable industrial products and engineering solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations and technical demonstrations.
  • Explain product specifications, features, and applications.
  • Prepare technical proposals and commercial quotations.
  • Resolve customer technical queries during the sales process.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with existing customers.
  • Maintain regular communication with key accounts.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Generate repeat business through excellent service.
  • Support Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) business development.
  • Address customer concerns and coordinate timely resolution.

Sales Coordination

  • Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, service, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure smooth execution of customer orders.
  • Monitor project progress from enquiry to delivery.
  • Follow up on quotations and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate sales documentation.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Analyze competitor products and pricing.
  • Identify new market opportunities.
  • Collect customer feedback and market intelligence.
  • Recommend strategies to improve market share.

Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Coordinate digital marketing initiatives with external agencies.
  • Support SEO-related activities for improved online visibility.
  • Participate in LinkedIn lead generation campaigns.
  • Assist with Google Ads and LinkedIn marketing initiatives.
  • Track website traffic and marketing performance metrics.
  • Contribute to brand awareness campaigns.

CRM & Sales Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer records using Zoho CRM.
  • Update daily sales activities.
  • Track customer interactions and follow-ups.
  • Generate sales reports and pipeline updates.
  • Maintain sales forecasts and opportunity tracking.
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy.
