QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER FOR STEEL ROLLING MILL - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Process & Product Quality Control: Monitor continuous production stages (e.g., LRF, CCM, Rolling Mill) to ensure compliance with quality parameters like BIS.
- Testing & Analysis: Supervise metallurgical and mechanical testing, including UTM (Universal Testing Machine), bend/re-bend tests, and chemical spectrometry.
- Audit & Compliance: Maintain and facilitate compliance for Quality Management Systems like Handle government/customer inspections and maintain certification documentation.
- Defect Resolution: Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and formulate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for any non-conformance or customer complaints.
- Equipment Calibration: Ensure all laboratory and testing equipment is calibrated to defined accuracy standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement quality philosophies like and lean principles to minimize defects and reduce waste.
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Typically 3 to 10+ years in quality control within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel grades, heat treatment, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and metallurgical properties.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent cross-functional collaboration with production teams.
