Job Description:
A hotel receptionist-cum-computer operator acts as the primary point of contact for guests and manages digital administrative tasks. They oversee check-ins/check-outs, process bookings, update databases, and handle day-to-day front desk correspondence, requiring strong IT skills and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Office Management: Greet guests, answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle inquiries regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
- Computer Operations & Data Entry: Input guest data into update reservation software (e.g., Cloudbeds, RoomKeyPMS), and manage spreadsheets.
- Guest Services: Manage room allocations, check guests in and out, issue room keys, and handle special requests or complaints.
- Billing & Administration: Process cash and card transactions, verify payments, prepare invoices, and perform routine computer backups and file maintenance.
Essential Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and quick data entry typing speeds (typically 35+ WPM).
- Customer Service: A pleasant demeanor, polite phone etiquette, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Communication: Clear, professional spoken and written skills in relevant languages (e.g., English, Hindi).
- Experience: Prior experience in hospitality or office administration is strongly preferred, though employers are often willing to train candidates on hotel-specific software.
