Job Description:

Job Title: Branch Sales Officer

Location: kalasipalyam, Bangalore

 

Job Purpose

To drive branch profitability through effective sales support, operational monitoring, cost control, and customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Growth

Support business growth in line with the strategic plan for the current financial year.

Achieve branch revenue targets and improve profitability.

Ensure timely booking and delivery of consignments as per company standards.

Coordinate with customers and internal teams to enhance service levels and retention.

2. Cost & Profitability Management

Monitor direct and indirect costs at branch level.

Take initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency.

Track outstanding payments and follow up for timely realization.

Ensure timely submission of bills and support collection activities.

3. Operations & Compliance

Ensure all bookings are done as per company policy and legal requirements. Monitor weight accuracy, documentation, and statutory compliance.

Follow standard operational processes and escalate issues to Region/Controlling Office.

Take necessary action on audit reports and ensure closure of observations.

Monitor execution of operational plans and coordinate with HO for required support.

4. Customer Relationship Management

Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Ensure timely service and resolution of customer queries and grievances.

Address customer-specific requirements at the time of booking and delivery.

Improve customer satisfaction and service quality at branch level.

5. Coordination & Reporting

Provide regular feedback to Regional/Controlling Office on operational and sales issues.

Coordinate with HO and other departments for smooth branch functioning. Prepare and submit required MIS and performance reports on time.

 

Key Skills & Competencies

·        Strong communication and coordination skills.

·        Knowledge of logistics/express operations Cost control and profitability understanding Customer handling and problem-solving skills

·        Basic knowledge of statutory and operational compliance

Qualification & Experience

·        Graduate in any discipline (preferred).

·        2–5 years of experience in logistics/express/transport operations or branch sales.

·        Proficiency in MS Office and operational systems.
