Job Description:

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – HR Operations & Onboarding to manage end-to-end employee onboarding, HR operations, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless employee experience from pre-joining through the employee lifecycle while driving operational excellence, process improvements, and adherence to statutory and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Induction
Manage the complete onboarding process to ensure a smooth joining experience for new employees.
Coordinate pre-joining formalities, documentation, and background verification.
Conduct HR induction sessions and support employee orientation programs.
Collaborate with IT, Administration, Finance, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless onboarding.
HR Operations
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within the HRMS.
Manage employee lifecycle activities including confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separations.
Ensure timely updates and accuracy of employee data.
Compliance & Process Management
Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, and statutory requirements.
Coordinate payroll-related inputs and statutory compliances such as PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and other applicable regulations.
Support internal and external audits by maintaining HR documentation and compliance records.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.

Employee Experience
Address employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, onboarding, and operational processes.
Partner with the HR team to drive employee engagement and enhance the overall employee experience.
Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Finance, IT, Administration, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth HR operations.
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, MIS, and analytics to support business and HR decision-making.

Candidate Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
4–8 years of experience in HR Operations, Employee Onboarding, and HR Compliance.
Strong understanding of HR processes, labour laws, statutory compliance, and HRMS platforms.
Experience working with payroll processes and statutory compliance.
Proficient in MS Excel and HR reporting/analytics.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to delivering an exceptional employee experience.
