Assistant Manager – Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:

Role Summary

The Assistant Manager – Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project cost estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, billing, contract administration, budgeting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires close coordination with project, engineering, procurement, finance, consultants, and contractors to ensure commercial efficiency and timely project delivery.

KRA: Task / Activities

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, budgets, and quantity take-offs from engineering drawings.
• Review tender documents, evaluate contractor quotations, and support vendor finalization.
• Verify contractor, subcontractor, and client bills for accurate certification.
• Monitor project costs, variations, change orders, and ensure budget compliance.
• Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Consultants, and Site teams.
• Prepare MIS reports, cash flow forecasts, and commercial reports.
• Track project progress, identify commercial risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies, quality standards, and project timelines.

KPI: Performance Metrics

• Accuracy of BOQ and cost estimation.
• Timely contractor billing and payment certification.
• Budget adherence and cost control.
• Timely submission of MIS and commercial reports.
• Project completion within approved budget and timelines.
