Job Description:
An Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Sales drives revenue growth, executes go-to-market strategies, and leads sales teams to capture market share. They bridge high-level strategy and daily operations by managing key accounts, forecasting performance, and establishing direct sales or channel partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing plans to expand market presence and achieve organizational revenue goals.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor sales staff; set clear sales targets, conduct performance reviews, and drive motivation.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, build a strong pipeline of prospective clients, and manage complex negotiations to close key deals.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust pricing, inventory, and product mix in real-time.
- Relationship Management: Nurture relationships with key accounts, channel partners, and stakeholders to ensure high retention and satisfaction.
Role Specifications
- Education Requirements: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing or a related field.
- Experience Required: Typically 5 to 10 years of progressive sales management experience, with a proven track record of target achievement.
- Technical Proficiencies: Advanced knowledge of (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data analytics tools.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
