Job Summary
The Manager is responsible for planning, designing, manufacturing, and delivering Pressure Vessels, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, and Process Columns as per ASME, TEMA, API, and customer specifications. The role includes leading the engineering team, coordinating with production, quality, procurement, and project departments, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high quality.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete lifecycle of Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, and Column projects.
Lead design, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Review mechanical design calculations, fabrication drawings, and GA drawings.
Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, TEMA, API, IS, and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Procurement, Projects, and Sales departments.
Monitor project schedules and ensure timely delivery.
Review material specifications, BOMs, and purchase requisitions.
Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions.
Resolve technical issues during fabrication and inspection.
Ensure welding procedures, NDT, hydrotesting, and quality documentation are followed.
Monitor department KPIs, productivity, quality, and cost control.
Develop and mentor engineers and supervisors.
Implement continuous improvement and safety practices.
Required Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
8–10 years of experience in Pressure Vessel, Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger, and Process Column manufacturing.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div.1 & Div.2.
Knowledge of TEMA Standards.
Understanding of API Codes.
Expertise in fabrication methods and welding processes.
Knowledge of NDT, Hydro Test, PWHT, and inspection procedures.
Ability to read engineering drawings and design calculations.
Leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Project planning and problem-solving ability.
ERP/MS Office proficiency.

Preferred Experience
Experience with EPC projects.
