Job Description:

Designation: Commercial Manager

Job Role


To oversee and manage all commercial and support functions of the factory, including billing, stores, logistics, administration, facility management, vendor coordination, statutory compliance, and cost control, ensuring smooth and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing and Commercial Operations
 Ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing and dispatch documentation.
 Verify commercial documents such as Purchase Orders, Delivery Challans, E-way Bills, and invoices.
2. Stores & Inventory Management
 Manage all raw material, packing material, consumable, and finished goods inventories.
 Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
 Implement inventory control systems and conduct periodic stock audits.
 Ensure proper storage practices and material handling procedures.
3. Logistics & Dispatch Management
 Plan and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations.
 Coordinate with transporters for timely dispatch and delivery of materials.
 Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
 Optimize freight costs and improve vehicle utilization.
4. Administration & Facility Management
 Manage factory administration, housekeeping, security, canteen and employee facilities.
 Ensure upkeep and maintenance of office buildings, plant infrastructure, labour quarters,
and common facilities.
 Supervise facility service providers and contractors.
 Monitor utility consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives.
5. Vendor & Contract Management
 Identify, negotiate, and manage vendors for logistics, facility services, and administrative requirements.
 Review vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements.

 Process vendor bills and coordinate with Accounts for timely payments.
 Maintain vendor contracts and documentation.
6. Compliance & Governance
 Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and factory regulations.
 Coordinate with government authorities and auditors when required.
 Maintain records related to logistics, inventory, administration, and facility management.
 Support implementation of ISO, EHS, and other management systems.
7. Team Management
 Lead and supervise Stores, Logistics, Administration, Security, Facility, and Billing teams.
 Set departmental KPIs and monitor performance.
 Train and develop team members to improve operational efficiency.
 Foster a culture of discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
