Job Description:
An Assistant Manager in PPC can refer to two distinct roles: Production Planning & Control (Manufacturing) or Pay-Per-Click (Digital Marketing). Both roles require strong analytical skills, budget or resource management, and cross-functional coordination, though their daily tasks and industry focuses differ completely.
1. Production Planning & Control (PPC) — Manufacturing
This role manages the end-to-end manufacturing workflow, ensuring seamless coordination between sales, procurement, and the shop floor to meet production targets and optimize costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Develop, monitor, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand and machine capacities.
- Material Management: Oversee inventory levels of Raw Materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods, and collaborate with the purchase team to prevent delays.
- Resource Optimization: Calculate cycle times and takt times to optimize manpower and machinery utilization.
- Reporting & KPIs: Generate daily MIS reports, track capacity utilization, and identify process bottlenecks.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Serve as the bridge between sales, quality assurance, procurement, and the factory floor to resolve issues and answer delivery-related queries.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Industrial, Production, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Typically 4 to 10+ years of proven experience in production planning or supply chain.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
