Job Title: Senior / Lead Planning Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and resource allocation. You will work closely with Project Managers, contractors, and design teams to translate ambitious blueprints into actionable, on-time deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Development: Prepare and maintain detailed baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules using tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress against planned milestones, capture execution data, and identify schedule deviations.

Resource Optimization: Plan and forecast manpower, equipment, and material requirements to avoid project delays.

Reporting: Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboard metrics, and Management Information Systems (MIS).

Risk & Delay Analysis: Analyze potential schedule risks, conduct productivity analysis, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate project delays.

Contractual Support: Support project managers by preparing documentation for time extensions, cost claims, and variations.

Coordination: Facilitate project review meetings, record Minutes of Meeting (MOM), and ensure smooth communication between site execution, billing, and procurement teams.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management.

Experience: 2-5+ years of proven experience in construction, infrastructure, or EPC project planning.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Core Competencies: Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Earned Value Management (EVM), and delay analysis.

Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, interpersonal skills, and the capacity to handle multi-phase project challenges.

Preferred Certifications:

Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification.

Project Management Professional (PMP).
