Job Description:
A Quality Engineer ensures products and processes meet stringent safety, regulatory, and customer standards. They design testing protocols, conduct audits, analyze defect data, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to improve production efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Planning & Testing: Design and implement robust Quality Control (QC) systems, inspection criteria, and sampling plans.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into product defects or system failures using methodologies like Six Sigma, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA.
- Compliance & Auditing: Perform internal audits and maintain compliance with industry-specific standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze testing metrics and processes to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and prevent future issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, manufacturing, and procurement teams to establish quality benchmarks for both internal operations and incoming supplier materials.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed Quality Management Systems (QMS) and generate reports detailing malfunctions and corrective strategies.
