Production Planning and Control (PPC) Manager

Job Description:

• Scheduling & Routing: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer purchase orders and Bill of Materials (BOM). Plan optimal routing for corrugation, printing (flexo), die-cutting, and stitching/gluing lines.
• Job Card & Print Order Management: Initiate job cards, verify specifications, allocate tasks to specific machines, and issue print orders to pre-press, stores, and production floors.
• Raw Material & Inventory Control: Coordinate with procurement and stores to track kraft paper reels, starch/adhesives, and inks. Monitor stock levels to prevent stock-outs while reducing trim waste and scrap.  
• Capacity & Bottleneck Analysis: Assess machine capabilities versus incoming order load. Resolve shop-floor bottlenecks and modify execution plans proactively during machine downtime
• Inter-Departmental Coordination: Act as the bridge between Sales (order commitments), Production/Shift Supervisors, Quality Assurance (GSM/BF burst factor specs), and Dispatch logistics.  
• MIS & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), schedule adherence, and output reconciliation, publishing regular performance reports for management.  

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production, Mechanical Engineering, or Operations Management.
• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on PPC experience specifically within the corrugated box or packaging/printing industry.
• Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with corrugated machinery workflow (Corrugator, Flexo Printer, Rotary Die Cutter, Stitching/Gluing machines) and ERP/MRP software
• Competencies: Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; lean manufacturing or six-sigma certification is a distinct advantage
