PCR QTech Extrusion Technical position in Southern india

Job Description:

1. Process Management

• Manage and optimize PCR extrusion processes including tread, sidewall, inner liner, apex.
• Ensure extrusion output meets defined specifications for gauge, weight, profile, and surface quality.
• Set and monitor standard operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and die settings.
• Ensure smooth and stable running of extrusion lines with minimum downtime.

      2.  Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor extrusion quality performance and take corrective actions for deviations.
• Lead root cause analysis for extrusion‑related defects and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Reduce extrusion scrap, start‑up losses, and rework through process improvement initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits related to extrusion processes

3. New Product Development & Trials

• Support new compound trials, new size introduction, and process validation activities.
• Coordinate with NPI, Mixing, QA, and Tire Building teams during trials.
• Ensure successful transition from trial stage to regular mass production.

4. Documentation & Standards

• Prepare and maintain SOPs, Control Plans, and PFMEA for extrusion processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF / BIS and customer‑specific requirements.
• Maintain proper records for process parameters, trials, and improvements.

5. Digitalization & Data Monitoring

• Support implementation of digital systems such as MES / SEEDS / online measurement systems.
• Analyse process data to identify trends, variation, and improvement opportunities.
• Improve traceability and data accuracy related to extrusion operations.

6. Team Support & Training

• Guide and train extrusion supervisors, engineers, and operators.
• Support skill development and standard work discipline on the shop floor.

• Problem‑solving tools (5‑Why, Fishbone, 8D) SPC, PFMEA, Control Plan knowledg
