Job Description:
An ITI Fitter is a skilled mechanical professional responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, tools, and metal components according to engineering drawings and blueprints in manufacturing, construction, and industrial plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Installation: Fit and assemble mechanical parts, engines, or subassemblies using precise alignment techniques.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings to plan daily tasks.
- Cutting & Shaping: Use hand tools and machines like lathes, drills, and grinders to cut, file, and shape metal components.
- Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions, disassemble faulty equipment, and replace worn-out parts.
- Quality Inspection: Measure finished work using precision instruments like micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to meet tight tolerances.
- Safety Adherence: Follow workplace safety rules and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Pass Class 10 (High School) followed by completing the 2-year
- Technical Skills: Proficient with hand/power tools, basic welding, and precision measuring equipment.
- Core Knowledge: Strong grasp of trade theory, workshop calculations, and mechanical science.
