Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in power transformer design . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in transformer design, engineering calculations, and exposure to manufacturing and testing processes. You will play a key role in delivering reliable and efficient transformer solutions aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design power and distribution transformers including core, winding, insulation, and cooling systems
• Perform detailed electrical and mechanical design calculations (losses, impedance, thermal performance, etc.)
• Prepare and review technical drawings, GA drawings, BOMs, and design documents
• Independently handle or support core and winding design activities
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications
• Provide technical support during manufacturing stages: core assembly, winding, tanking, and final assembly
• Participate in routine and type testing (IR, ratio test, impedance, load/no-load losses, temperature rise, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with IEC / IS standards and internal quality procedures
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot design/manufacturing issues
• Support quality inspections and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Maintain design records, technical reports, and documentation
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of:
• Power systems and electrical machines
• Transformer design principles (core, winding, losses, cooling methods)
• Proven hands-on experience in power transformer design
• Familiarity with IEC / IS standards
• Ability to interpret and create electrical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and testing methods is essential
