Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the quality inspection team across incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Develop and implement inspection plans, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure products comply with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Monitor inspection activities and ensure timely release of products.
  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Handle customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions with production and engineering teams.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support external customer and certification audits.
  • Maintain inspection records, quality reports, and documentation.
  • Analyze quality data, prepare KPIs, and present performance reports to management.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring instruments.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of quality inspectors.
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchase, and Sales departments to resolve quality concerns.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and other quality tools.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer standards, and statutory quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5–15 years of experience in Quality Inspection/Quality Assurance in manufacturing.
  •  
  • Experience in automotive, engineering, fabrication, heavy manufacturing, or precision machining industries is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and standards.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, CMM, and other inspection equipment.
