Job Description:

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and customer-focused Cashier to manage billing operations, cash handling, and store inventory coordination at our Jayanagar showroom. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial transactions, maintain operational records, and support smooth day-to-day store operations while delivering a premium customer experience that reflects the values of our client.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer billing accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Receive and record all daily cash and digital payment transactions.
  • Handle cash collections, reconcile daily cash balances, and ensure timely bank deposits.
  • Maintain petty cash and ensure accurate documentation of all petty cash transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain daily sales reports (DSR), cash reports, and other store-related reports.
  • Coordinate inward and outward movement of stock and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Complete stock knock-off processes and facilitate inter-store stock transfers.
  • Maintain proper filing of invoices, billing records, and other operational documents.
  • Promote ongoing store offers, loyalty programs, and promotional campaigns during customer interactions.
  • Assist in inventory coordination with the sales team to ensure accurate stock records.
  • Train and support newly joined cashiers on billing procedures and store processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
  • Provide courteous, professional, and efficient customer service at all times.

 

Requirements

  • Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cashier in retail, fashion, luxury, or lifestyle stores.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems, billing software, and retail cash management.
  • Good knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, and multiple payment methods, including cash, cards, UPI, digital wallets, and gift vouchers.
  • Basic accounting knowledge with strong numerical accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email, and computer applications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and the local language.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts as required in retail.
