THE OPPORTUNITY

In an era where reputation is built and battles are won in the digital arena, the Senior Manager – Digital Communications will be the driving force behind how the Company commands its digital presence with authority and authenticity. This role is for a modern communicator who fluently speaks the languages of social media, content marketing, digital storytelling, and data analytics — and who possesses the strategic vision to translate a century-old industrial legacy into a compelling, dynamic digital brand story that resonates with investors, talent, customers, and citizens globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and lead the digital communications strategy for the  Group and current company — across owned, earned, and paid digital touchpoints.
  • Manage and grow the Group's corporate social media presence (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) with platform-specific strategies, consistent voice, and high-quality content.
  • Oversee the Group's corporate website(s) — managing content strategy, editorial quality, SEO performance, and user experience in partnership with IT and agency partners.
  • Plan and execute multi-format digital content programmes — articles, videos, podcasts, infographics, interactive pieces, thought leadership series — that elevate the brand's authority and engagement.
  • Lead digital reputation management: proactively monitor the digital landscape, track brand mentions and sentiment, and manage responses in alignment with corporate messaging.
  • Serve as the digital arm of the communications function — amplifying media coverage, events, leadership communications, and campaign messaging across digital channels.
  • Drive the digital communications for the Group's ESG, CSR, and sustainability narratives — reaching investors, institutions, and next-generation talent through purpose-driven storytelling.
  • Manage and optimise digital media campaigns (organic and paid) to build reach, engagement, and follower growth across key stakeholder segments.
  • Develop and enforce a Digital Brand & Content Governance framework — guidelines, tone of voice, visual identity standards, and approval workflows for all Group entities.
  • Track, analyse, and report on digital KPIs — reach, engagement, share of voice, sentiment, web traffic — and use insights to iteratively improve strategy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 10–14 years of experience in digital communications, content marketing, or digital PR — with at least 4 years in a senior corporate or agency leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building and managing corporate social media channels for a large organisation or marquee brand, with measurable business impact.
  • Strong experience in content strategy, digital publishing, and SEO for corporate communications contexts.
  • Experience managing digital agency relationships, content production teams, and social media managers.
  • Prior exposure to crisis communications in a digital context — managing online reputation, negative sentiment, or social media incidents.
  • Familiarity with B2B digital communication in industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors is a distinct advantage.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Deep expertise across major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, Instagram) — including algorithm knowledge, organic growth strategies, and paid amplification.
  • Proficiency in digital analytics tools: Google Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Hootsuite, or equivalent social listening/management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, content architecture, and CMS platforms (WordPress or equivalent).
  • Video content strategy and working knowledge of video production workflows; ability to brief and direct video/creative agencies.
  • Competency in data visualisation and reporting — turning analytics into executive-ready insights.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies in digital communications — AI-generated content, interactive media, short-form video — and how to deploy them responsibly and effectively.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

  • Digitally native mindset with genuine passion for the evolving media landscape and its implications for corporate reputation.
  • Creative visionary with strong aesthetic sensibility and an instinct for what resonates with digital audiences.
  • Data-obsessed — you make decisions with evidence and are comfortable building a business case from analytics.
  • Agile and fast-moving, with the ability to respond to real-time events and opportunities with speed and judgment.
  • Strong collaborator who can align diverse stakeholders — from the communications leadership to business unit heads to external agencies.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who can build structures, processes, and capabilities where they do not yet exist.
  • High personal integrity in managing the Group's digital voice and protecting its reputation
