Service Engineer

Job Description:

Designation : Service Engineer
2 Schaltbau products : Contactors, Snap action Switches, Connectors and rail components like Master controllers, VCB, earthing devices etc.
3 Application Industry : Railways ( including system manufactures), Steel, Cement, Material handling, Renewable energy,Electric vehicles
4 Requirement: Schaltbau has a wide range of products like contactors,snap action switches, connectors,master controllers, displays, panels for driver's

desk etc. which are used in different industries mentioned above.
Considering increasing busniess volume and for better customer support, Schaltbau is looking for a Service Engineer who can handle
responsibilites mentioned below.

5 Responsibilities : a) Addressing customer complaints of different products and timely resolution.

b) Repair of failed prodcuts / warrenty replacement.
c) Maintaining complaints/failure history.
d) Failure analysis and corrective/preventive action plan.
e) Installation/commissioning activities on need basis.
f) Testing on shop floor

6 Functional competencies:
Essential

a) Working knowledge of switchgear components such as contactors, disconnector switches etc.
b) Hands on experience in repair of switchgear components - minimum 3 years.
c) Knowledge of different applications in industry, material handling, renewable energy etc.
d) Knowlegde of diffrerent communication protocols and field expereince of establishing communication.
e) Should understand control and power wiring scheme.
f) Sound knowledge of installation activities like control/power cable laying guidlines, earthing, standard crimping practices, saftey
measures etc.
7 Location: Navi Mumbai
8 Qualification: Diploma / B.E. (Electrical/Electronics)
9 Experience : 8- 10 years of experience as following:

a) Should have sufficient experience in handling customer complaints - Min. 3 to 4 years.
B) Experience in testing of electrical equipments.
C) Repair of switchgear/ other systems - Min. 2 to 3 years.
10 Skill requirement : a) Strong technical base with an ability to analyse and resolve issues.

b) Good inter-personal skills.
c) Proactive attitude.
d) Well organized and ability to work under pressure.
e) Able to plan and work in a multiple project environment.

11 Additional requirement: The candidate should be willing to travel extensively to customer places across India.

The candidate should not be frequent job changer and should be willing to stay with the company for long.
