Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Job Description:

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Chief Technology Officer who can take complete ownership of the organisation’s technology function and lead the end-to-end technology strategy, development, infrastructure, security and technology operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FinTech / Financial Services / WealthTech / Banking / Broking / Investment Technology and should understand the technology requirements of a regulated financial services business. The CTO will be responsible for managing and overseeing the complete technology environment across the group, including internal IT infrastructure, hardware, software platforms, technology partners, integrations, cybersecurity, audits, regulatory technology requirements and overall technology governance. The role requires someone who is capable of managing a technology ecosystem involving multiple external vendors and technology partners, rather than being restricted to managing an internal development team.

Key Requirements
• 10+ years of relevant technology/IT experience, preferably with significant experience in a senior technology-management role.
• Strong experience in FinTech, stock broking, banking, financial services, WealthTech or another regulated financial-services environment.
• Experience managing multiple technology vendors and external development partners.
• Strong understanding of financial-services technology ecosystems.
• Experience with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT operations.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations and system architecture.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity and technology risk.
• Experience handling IT/system/cyber audits.
• Strong vendor-management and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Ability to independently take ownership of technology operations and resolve complex technology issues.

Strongly Preferred
• Experience in a stock-broking / trading environment.
• Knowledge of NEAT BOLT PRO or similar exchange-connected trading terminals.
• Knowledge of financial back-office systems such as KORP or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of digital KYC platforms such as MEON or equivalent platforms.
• Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge.
• Experience working with NSE/BSE or other market/exchange technology environments.
• Experience with regulated financial entities and SEBI-related technology requirements.
• Experience managing cyber audits, system audits, VAPT and technology compliance.
• Experience managing technology partners responsible for mobile applications, websites and financial platforms.
