Store In Charge
Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and organized Store In-Charge to manage day-to-day store
and warehouse operations. The candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing,
and maintaining inventory, ensuring proper documentation, stock accuracy, and timely
availability of materials for production and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day activities of the stores and warehouse.
Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, specifications, and condition against
Purchase Orders / delivery documents.
Prepare and maintain Material Receipt Notes (MRN/GRN) and other store-related
documentation.
Properly store and identify raw materials, components, consumables, finished goods,
and other inventory.
Issue materials to Production and other departments against authorized material
requisitions.
Maintain accurate stock records and ensure physical stock matches system records.
Update inventory transactions in Tally Prime.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and assist in periodic stock audits.
Identify shortages, excess stock, damaged materials, and discrepancies and report
them to the concerned authority.
Ensure proper FIFO practices wherever applicable.
Maintain proper labeling, bin locations, and systematic arrangement of materials.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Finance, and other departments
regarding material requirements and discrepancies.
Monitor minimum stock levels and inform the concerned team about material
shortages.
Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and cleanliness within the store area.
Maintain all store registers, documents, and records properly.
Support inventory control and stock reconciliation activities.
Ensure materials are issued and received only against proper authorization.
Assist in loading, unloading, packing, and dispatch activities whenever required.
Perform any other store-related responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Stores / Warehouse operations, preferably in
a manufacturing company.
Experience in a manufacturing / engineering / refrigeration / sheet-metal /
electrical industry will be preferred.
Minimum qualification: 12th Pass; Graduate preferred.
Working knowledge of Tally Prime is mandatory.
Good knowledge of MS Excel – data entry, sorting, filtering, basic formulas, and
maintaining stock reports.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse practices.
Knowledge of GRN/MRN, material issue, stock transfer, and inventory
documentation.
Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
Ability to maintain accurate physical and system stock.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day store activities.
Basic knowledge of 5S, FIFO, and workplace safety will be an advantage.
