Job Description:
A Deputy General Manager (DGM) is a senior executive who assists the General Manager in running daily operations, setting strategies, and leading departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day business activities and ensure different teams work together smoothly.
- Strategic Planning: Help create and launch business plans to hit company targets.
- Financial Management: Help build and monitor departmental budgets, track costs, and report financial results.
- Team Leadership: Coach staff, handle performance reviews, and solve team conflicts.
- Process Improvement: Spot workflow delays and find better, faster ways to get work done.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience: 8 to 12+ years of work history in a related field, with past experience managing teams or lower-level managers.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field; an MBA is often preferred.
- Communication: Strong speaking and writing skills to coordinate with senior leaders and staff.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to make fast, smart choices when business issues or emergencies happen.
