Job Description:
Shift In-Charge – Production | Aroma Chemicals
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head
Location: Manufacturing Plant
Experience: 4–8 Years
Qualification: B.Sc/M.Sc Chemistry or Diploma/B.E./B.Tech Chemical Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage overall shift-wise production activities and achieve production targets.
- Supervise reactor operations, reaction, distillation, filtration, extraction & drying processes.
- Monitor critical process parameters as per SOP/BMR.
- Ensure proper batch execution, RM/PM availability and production documentation.
- Lead and allocate work to operators/helpers during the shift.
- Coordinate with QC/QA, Maintenance, Stores and Safety teams.
- Ensure compliance with GMP/ISO, SOP, PPE and process safety requirements.
- Monitor yield, RM consumption, wastage and process efficiency.
- Handle process deviations, breakdowns and operational issues effectively.
- Prepare shift reports and proper shift handover to the next team.
Preferred Experience: Aroma Chemicals / Fragrance & Flavour / Fine Chemicals / Specialty Chemicals / Pharma Manufacturing.
