Job Description:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven Production Manager with 4 to 5 years of core experience in chemical plant operations. The candidate will oversee daily production, ensure strict compliance with safety and environmental standards, optimize chemical process yields, and lead shop-floor technical teams to meet operational targets efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production & Process Operations:
o Plan, direct, and coordinate daily chemical manufacturing schedules to ensure production targets are met on time.
o Monitor reaction parameters, mass/energy balances, and yield output across continuous or batch processing lines.
o Execute process troubleshooting to minimize downtime, maximize equipment utilization, and lower raw material consumption.

• Safety, Health & Environment (SHE / EHS):
o Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols (Hazardous Chemical Handling, Hazop studies, OSHA/local regulatory guidelines).
o Lead shop-floor safety audits, process hazard analyses, and incident root-cause investigations.
o Manage effluent treatment plant (ETP) coordination and dangerous waste disposal operations.

• Quality Assurance & Optimization:
o Work alongside Quality Control/Quality Assurance teams to maintain raw material and final product specifications.

o Implement lean manufacturing techniques, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen/Six Sigma).

• Team Leadership & Resource Management:
o Manage shop-floor supervisors, chemical operators, and shift technicians across rotational shifts.
o Coordinate with Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams for preventive maintenance shutdown schedules and raw material availability.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Educational Background: B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Master's in Industrial/Applied Chemistry.
• Work Experience: 4 to 5 years of direct experience in production management/supervision within a chemical processing facility (e.g., fine chemicals, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, or agrochemicals).
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of unit operations, reaction kinetics, pumps, distillation columns, reactors, and DCS/SCADA control systems.
• Core Competencies: Problem-solving under pressure, team leadership, crisis management, and thorough knowledge of chemical storage and handling regulations.
