- Assembly and Fitting: Measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining metal parts using precision instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
- Maintenance and Repair: Diagnosing mechanical faults, disassembling malfunctioning equipment, replacing worn-out parts, and testing the systems.
- Safety Compliance: Following strict health and safety protocols, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean work area.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read complex engineering drawings.
- Tool Knowledge: Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices like calipers and micrometers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly to minimize downtime.
- Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and lift heavy objects.
