About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on SAP PS (Project System) Senior Consultant with 10+ years of relevant experience to drive end-to-end implementations, rollouts, and optimization projects. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in project structuring, financial integration, and cross-module processes, combined with strong client-facing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of the SAP PS module, mapping business requirements to SAP S/4HANA best practices.

• Project Structures & Planning: Configure and manage project definitions, WBS (Work Breakdown Structures), networks, activities, milestones, and standard templates.

• Financials & Controlling Integration: Oversee cost planning, budgeting, availability control (AVC), commitment management, results analysis, and project settlement rules (including Assets Under Construction - AuC).

• Cross-Module Integration: Ensure smooth integration points between SAP PS and FI/CO, MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), PM (Plant Maintenance), and CATS (Cross-Application Time Sheet).

• Procurement & Execution: Manage project-oriented procurement, resource-related billing, milestone billing, and network confirmations.

• Workshop Facilitation: Conduct business requirement gathering workshops, design blueprints, write functional specifications (RICEFW), and guide technical teams for custom developments.

• Testing & Deployment: Drive unit testing, integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data migration cutovers, and end-user training.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on functional consulting experience specializing in SAP Project System (PS).

• Lifecycle Exposure: Successfully delivered multiple end-to-end SAP implementations, global rollouts, or major transformation projects.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Expert knowledge in PS Customization, structures, scheduling, budgeting, and settlement.

  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA environment and modern Fiori apps/extensions.

  • Ability to read/debug ABAP code or write precise functional specs for custom enhancements is an added advantage.

• Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, strong communication skills, and proven leadership capability to run client workshops independently.

Location & Travel Policy

• Base Location: Chennai / Remote option available.

• Travel Flexibility: Must be flexible and willing to travel to the Chennai customer location on short notice as and when project phases demand on-site presence.
