Platform Engineer
Job Description:
Role Overview
We are looking for a Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Python, AWS, serverless development, and event-driven architecture to build and enhance modules of our cloud management platform. The role involves developing scalable SaaS solutions, working with AWS services, and solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the development, maintenance, and enhancement of modules within the cloud management platform.
* Design and develop serverless applications and event-driven systems using AWS services.
* Build scalable and reliable SaaS applications using Python and AWS.
* Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver new platform features.
* Apply cloud architecture best practices to improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
* Research and implement new cloud technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer / IT
* 6+ years of experience in Platform/Application Development with strong Python and AWS expertise.
* Hands-on experience with Serverless Architecture, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture.
* Strong knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
* Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and relational/NoSQL databases.
* Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
* Hands-on experience with AWS Boto3 using Python.
* Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Experience working with serverless applications, microservices architecture, AWS service integration, and applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
