Senior Accountant (Construction Industry)

Job Description:

Role Summary

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, preparing financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting management in understanding the company's financial position.

KRA: Task / Activities

• Record business transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, including the Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
• Prepare and verify GST return data, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C, wherever applicable.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, MIS, budgets, and financial ratio analysis.
• Perform bank reconciliations, maintain supporting documents, and coordinate with auditors, vendors, customers, and management.

KPI: Performance Metrics

• Maintain 100% accuracy in accounting entries and supporting documentation.
• Ensure 100% timely submission of applicable GST returns within due dates.
• Complete monthly financial reports and MIS within the agreed deadlines.
• Complete 1 bank reconciliation every month and resolve identified discrepancies.
• Submit 100% of required audit documents within the agreed timelines.
