Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager – Loan / Lease Origination Operations to manage day-to-day loan/lease origination and contract activation activities while leading a team of 6–10 members. The role will focus on timely and accurate transaction processing, SLA adherence, quality, productivity, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day loan/lease origination and contract activation operations.

Lead and manage a team of 6–10 members, including workload allocation, performance monitoring, coaching, and development.

Monitor operational queues, pending transactions, backlogs, escalations, and TAT/SLA adherence.

Review complex transactions and resolve operational issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Coordinate with Sales, Credit, Risk, Legal, Finance, IT, and global/onshore teams.

Drive First Time Right (FTR) by minimizing errors, rework, documentation gaps, and process deviations.

Ensure adherence to company policies, operational controls, compliance, documentation, and audit requirements.

Prepare and review operational reports covering productivity, quality, volumes, SLA, backlog, and escalations.

Identify process gaps and support process improvement, automation, and transformation initiatives.

Required Skills

Strong experience in loan/lending operations, leasing operations, loan origination, contract activation, or commercial finance operations.

Strong people management and team leadership skills.

Good understanding of SLA, TAT, productivity, quality, and FTR metrics.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong attention to detail, ownership, and compliance mindset.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Power BI, workflow tools, or CRM systems will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.

9–14 years of relevant experience in lending, leasing, loan origination, contract activation, commercial finance, or shared services operations.

Experience managing a team of 6–10 members.

Experience working with cross-functional and global/onshore stakeholders is preferred.
