Job Description:

Job Title: General Manager – Electrical / Electrical Head
Industry: Sponge Iron / DRI / Power Plant / Steel Plant
Department: Electrical Maintenance / Power Plant
Experience: 15–25 Years in Sponge Iron, DRI & Captive Power Plant
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Electrical Department for Sponge Iron/DRI and Power Plant operations.
• Manage electrical maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, motors, MCC, PCC, VFD, switchgear and substations.
• Ensure reliable power supply and maximum equipment availability.
• Handle electrical systems of WHRB/AFBC/CFBC power plant and captive power generation.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Monitor electrical energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures.
• Troubleshoot major electrical faults and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Coordinate with Production, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Projects departments.
• Manage electrical shutdowns, maintenance planning and critical spares.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, LOTO and statutory requirements.
• Lead electrical projects, capacity expansion and system improvement activities.
• Manage electrical manpower, contractors and departmental budgets.
• Prepare MIS, maintenance reports, energy reports and KPI reports for management.
