Assistant Manager Direct Taxation based at Mumbai for Broadband
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end Direct Taxation functions of the organisation.
- Handle Income Tax compliance, tax assessments, notices, appeals and litigation.
- Ensure timely filing of income-tax returns, TDS returns and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Manage TDS/TCS, advance tax, tax provisions and reconciliations.
- Support tax planning, tax audits and transfer pricing activities, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and tax authorities.
- Monitor changes in the Income Tax Act and ensure timely implementation.
- Provide tax advisory and support to business/finance teams on transactions and contracts.
- Identify tax risks and ensure appropriate controls and documentation.
- Prepare tax-related MIS, reports and management updates.
Candidate Profile:
CA with strong hands-on experience in Direct Taxation and Income Tax matters, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage the complete direct-tax function of a mid-to-large organisation. Experience in Telecom/Broadband/ISP will be preferred.
