Senior R&D Chemist

Job Description:

Job Summary
The Senior R&D Chemist will lead the development and optimization of chemical
formulations and processes. This role involves designing experiments, analysing data,
mentoring junior chemists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive
innovation and ensure product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead R&D projects focused on new product development and process
improvement
• Design and execute laboratory experiments using advanced analytical
techniques (e.g. UV cabinet, Fume Hood, etc.)
• Analyse experimental data and prepare technical reports and presentations
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to scale
up formulations
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies into R&D
practices.
• Mentor junior chemists and interns.
• Contribute to patent applications and intellectual property development.
Qualifications
• master’s degree in chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry
• 4 TO 5 years of experience in chemical R&D, preferably in manufacturing of
specialty chemicals/ API – intermediates.
• Strong knowledge of formulation chemistry, analytical methods, and regulatory
standards.

• Knowledge of Basic Computer skills (e.g., Ms Office, Outlook, Browsing).
• Proven track record of successful product development and commercialization.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
