Job Description:
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Industry: Steel Plant / Sponge Iron / DRI / Power Plant / Manufacturing Department: Mechanical Maintenance / Engineering Experience: 2–5 Years (depending on company requirements) Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.

Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings and compressors.

Monitor plant machinery performance and minimize equipment downtime.

Supervise maintenance activities and coordinate with technicians and fitters.

Identify mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.

Ensure proper lubrication, alignment and installation of machinery.

Maintain maintenance records, checklists and equipment history.
-
Follow industrial safety procedures, PPE requirements and permit-to-work systems.

Coordinate with production, electrical and instrumentation departments.

Support equipment installation, commissioning and shutdown maintenance.
